YOUR CUBA MOTORCYCLE TOUR EXPERIENCE WILL BE ONE-OF-A-KIND!
You ride Cuba mostly for the fantastic cultural and visual experience rather than the thrill of twisties and sweepers. Much of the riding is relatively flat, but the human interest element is never-ending... be it 1950s classic American cars.... ox-carts... or even a Soviet-made Ural with a pig or a sheep in the sidecar. Then there are all the ubiquitous revolutionary murals, not least of Che Guevara.
Which is not to say you won't get to also enjoy twisties and sweepers! Cuba has several mountain chains, and Chris' custom-designed itineraries make the most of the best scenic and thrilling routes. He can even throw in some enduro riding if you wish on tours using the F700 GSs!
Cubans are safe and courteous drivers, and the fairly ubiquitous presence of efficient motorcycle cops (no, they're not corrupt!) ensures that you'll most likely be the fastest thing on the road. Still, there are plenty of hazards... such as kamikaze chickens, or even cattle or horses loose on the road. Traffic is light (there's no such thing as a traffic jam in Cuba), but it's impossible to count the potholes and denuded sections of pavement.
