has finally approved the first U.S. commercial flights in fifty years. Flights will begin next week, when JetBlue inaugurates service between Fort Lauderdale and Santa Clara, followed by American Airlines’ service from Miami and Fort Lauderdale to Camagüey, Cienfuegos, Holguín, Santa Clara, and Varadero.

I’m still awaiting news that Cuba has approved direct scheduled flights to Havana.

This will make it much easier (and potentially cheaper) for clients to join Cuba Motorcycle Tours programs on the island without needing to meet as a group and fly from Miami.

The rush is on!
